Nasturtium Microgreen Seeds
Nasturtium leaves look like small lily pads with a central stem. The name “Nasturtium” comes from the Latin words for nose (nas), and tortum (twist); literally “nose twister”. It was named for the reaction on a person’s face after biting into the peppery, tangy leaves.
Once cotyledons have fully developed or once the first true leaves begin to emerge. Typically range from 1/2" to 2" in height. For most items this will be 2-4 weeks after sowing, depending on the variety, growing conditions, and final product size desired. Cut with scissors or a sharp knife and minimise handling to reduce damage. Micro Greens must be washed before serving. Shelf life ranges from 5 to 10 days under proper storage conditions.
