Come find out how easy and fun it is to grow your own herbs at home!
Join us for a workshop with gardener Bob (Flowers Dharma), who will share how to grow herbs, from cuttings to harvest, as well as some personal pointers from his own years of experience.
Learn the basics of herb propagation and re-potting through live demonstrations.
This workshop is suitable for first-time horticulturalists. You will get to bring home a hanging planter trough (33.5 x 18.5 x 14.5cm) filled with our premium potting mix, as well as some herb cuttings of your choice.
$60 per person
Booking is essential as there are limited spaces.
What you will learn:
Besides propagation and repotting basics, you will learn about the types of herbs that are easy to grow in Singapore, as well as how to select appropriate potting mediums and fertilisers for optimal growing. On top of that, learn how to handle pests organically, tips for harvest and post-harvest, as well as how to consume your harvested herbs.
Bob previously ran his own nursery and landscaping company. Currently retired, he spends his time tending to his community plot in HortPark, guiding garden tours for kids and conducting workshops for NÓNG and NParks. He has also facilitated courses, talks and demonstrations for many places such as the Clementi School of Commerce, the National Youth Leadership Training Institute and Ascott Hotels.
